The purpose of container inspection is mainly to determine the safe use of containers, to avoid and prevent the occurrence of damage.
Specific Requirements
According to China's current "Regulations on the Administration of Maritime International Container Transport of the People's Republic of China", containers used for maritime international container transport shall comply with international container regulations. The owner and operator of the container shall do a good job in the management and maintenance of the container and conduct regular container inspections to ensure that containers suitable for cargo transportation are provided. Otherwise, the responsible person shall be liable for compensation for damage or shortage of goods due to poor management of the container. In addition, containers for perishable foods such as grain, oil, food, and frozen products must be inspected by the commodity inspection agency before they can be used.
